It doesn’t matter how big the project is. Unless you build the biggest trainer pool ever. Namely 5 metres long, 2.10 metres high and weighing a whole 850 kg. Sneakers and pool don’t go together thematically? We say: Sure they do! We have created a big surprise with Hornbach in Berlin Kreuzberg. Not only did we set up a huge “sneaker pool”, we also celebrated it in style with drinks, good music, well–known guests and a cool location. The whole thing took place in the extended setting of the SEEK fashion fair. Sneakerpool? Yes, first of all, these two words don’t go together and you don’t really know what to imagine. But it was precisely this unusual combination that made yesterday’s event so special. Together with 43einhalb and the design agency Neulant Van Exel, we put together a huge pair of the adidas Originals ZX 10,000. Inside the shoes was a whirlpool made from Hornbach products, which could be used by the guests. Among them were many influencers from Berlin and also the musician Badchieff, who later performed at the event. The pool party, called “The Sneaker Pool”, was hosted by Aminata Belli. In addition to details such as a large lawn, lots of plants, lifeguard chairs and a DJ booth, there were also white shirts, bags and towels with the orange inscription “The Sneaker Pool” and a small cooperation detail between the two companies.
