ABOUT ME

Artsalve
Artsalve
I, Sajjad Khatibi, am an Art Director and Designer, living and working in Berlin. Born in the Orient, I emigrated to the Occident in 1999, grew up in the Frankfurt am Main area, and earned my German citizenship after five years. After finishing school, I packed my bags and moved to Berlin in 2008, where I still live and work, to pursue my passion for Art, Design and Music. My journey began with Graphic Design studies at the Lette Verein Berlin, followed by four more years of honing my craft in Communication Design at HTW Berlin, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with excellent results.

In 2013, together with my brother Saeed, I founded Artsalve, a creative studio specializing in Design and Creative Direction. Since then, we have been actively running the studio, pushing the boundaries through a variety of projects. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with Artists such as Bettina Buck and Otto von Schirach, and with well-known brands such as Lidl, Mercedes Benz and Air Belin.

Starting in 2017, I spent nearly seven years at HEIMAT Berlin, including four years as a Senior Creative in the HORNBACH unit — an all-star team of 20+ talents managing one of Germany’s most exciting brands across nine European countries. From out-of-home campaigns to daily social content, it was a masterclass in strategic and creative brand leadership, helping ensure HORNBACH’s long-term success against fierce, well-funded competition.

My focus was on 360° campaigns spanning digital, social, guerrilla and print — translating creative concepts into engaging digital experiences. I adapted and expanded campaign ideas for digital channels, shaping social-first content, digital out-of-home ads and interactive web experiences while ensuring a seamless brand narrative.

throughout my career, I had the privilege of working with renowned brands such as HORNBACH, Jägermeister, Opel, OTTO, Trolli and Vodafone — leading major projects and shaping creative outcomes. Alongside this, I’ve also collaborated with artists, creatives, and friends to keep things bold, fresh, and seamless.

Most recently, I worked as a Senior Art Director at antoni_, where I was part of the Vodafone team, also contributing to projects for the Margot Friedländer Foundation and Kärcher.

In August 2025, I’ll be starting a new chapter continuing to push bold ideas and create meaningful standout work.
