Hollywood Red, Lust Affair, Nude Embrace, Pink Pussy, Bikini So Teeny, Sunday Funday, Midnight Plum, Fatal Red, Rose Rush, Kiss Pearl, Shocking Coral, Master Plan, Lovie Dovie, Forever Yummy — blush, eye shadow, mascara, kajal, lipstick, testers and price tags that make you dizzy. Although the decorative shelving system in the cosmetics department looks so generous and inviting, you can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong here.

Even today, photographs are often used as evidence for the true and the real, although Auguste Rodin already knew that “photography lies [...]”. In the project, we first examined various strategies of photographers who deliberately undermine the belief in the true–to–life photograph and then worked on implementing our own ideas with fakes, lies and deceptions.
